Any tips on radio communication?

Any tips on radio communication? I started doing EMS for my university, which requires us to stay in radio communication with dispatch by sending intermittent messages. These are usually short sentence fragments that I normally wouldn't block on, and when I "practice" with these sentences I am usually able to say them without much difficulty. However, as soon as I am saying it for real over the radio, I get immensely flustered and block on nearly everything. I'm sure it must be a psychological phenomenon, as I can repeat the sentence without stuttering immediately prior to saying it on the radio, but as soon as I press the transmission button my stutter comes back in full force. Does anyone have any tips on getting through this or can share similar experiences? My usual approach to tough blocks is to repeatedly practice, and I've tried practicing both alone and with the actual radio (on a dummy channel) and can get sufficiently fluent in those situations, but it's like as soon as my mind knows it's "for real" and that everyone is going to hear me on the radio, I start blocking and stuttering.
