I think it depends where you're based. It sounds like maybe these aspects are not considered a lot in your country. I don't stutter myself but I'm a speech therapist in the UK and here we focus largely on the psychological component especially in adults. For speech therapists specialising in stammering here it's common to be trained in a range of psychological therapy approaches such as ACT, CBT, SFBT, etc to incorporate into the therapy. It's becoming increasingly rare to have the main focus of therapy as direct speech techniques.
