Do you think stuttering should be treated the same way we treat glasses or hearing aids?

Do you think stuttering should be treated the same way we treat glasses or hearing aids? Growing up with a stutter, I used to feel like it was something that held me back. Over time — with a lot of practice and support — I’ve learned not only to manage it better, but to see it differently. It’s always struck me that society completely normalizes glasses for vision 👓 and hearing aids for hearing 👂… but not stuttering. Why is one difference accepted and another still misunderstood? I made a short video about this idea — that stuttering isn’t broken, it’s human — and how important education and awareness are. Would love to hear your thoughts: do you think attitudes are changing, or do we still have a long way to go? Here’s the short if you’d like to watch: https://youtube.com/shorts/-AOHUI-ujgc?si=MKBv4e9BcAC_Pbih
