Good luck. I can say my first name, but not my last (without considerable difficulty), and it's a very difficult name to pronounce so everybody always asks me to say it for them. Needless to say, this would always make the first day of school a real nightmare. Teacher would ask me how to pronounce my last name and I would just sit there looking like an idiot with my mouth open unable to say a damn thing. Sometimes teachers could be really rude about it too, making me feel even worse. In any case, take college as a time to change who you are. You might surprise yourself. I found something I became really passionate about and met a great group of friends around it who were thoughtful enough not to care about my stutter. I even learned and got quite good at public speaking (ironically I discovered it's the situation in which I stutter the least!). Meeting people, talking, and socializing will always be more difficult when you have a stutter. That's just an unfortunate fact we have to live with. The only thing you can do is power through it. Try not to let it bother you (much easier said (!?) than done, I know).
