> I'm also going to sit for interviews with startups where they can't afford to have someone like me. This is a fallacy. If they need you they need you. Whether or not you stutter is a secondary consideration (unless the position you are looking to hire into is something that is 99.9% talking [PR, call center...]), then obviously the stutter could be a factor (though you won't know until they decide one way or another). Personally, I'm in college working towards a career change, but when I was looking for a job, one of the first things out of my mouth was my disclosure statement.
