I think I'm a lot more extroverted than I ever expected to be. I was homeschooled growing up and very socially isolated (I wonder if that made my stutter worse from lack of practice talking to people... topic for another time) so I expected to stay introverted. I try to be extroverted now because I love the company of other people, but it's definitely embarrassing sometimes
