I've never taken a job, until recently, that didn't force me to confront it. I've been a lead singer in a band, a radioman on a submarine, and I've also worked in a customer service call center. Granted, when I was on the submarine I made great strides in becoming more fluent. But I've never shyed away from it. I remember speech class in high school. Some people were too nervous to give their speech for the minimum time limit. I never backed down, I always stood up and spoke. Even if everyone laughed (and they did, stuttering makes people feel awkward and they need to release that energy somehow). Be couragous. Be daring.
