I'm not fear mongering, buddy. Maybe I'm saying things you don't want to hear. Insulin doesn't cause any harm. Other diabetes medications do not cause severe side effects like psychotropic substances do. You cannot have an analogy like this. Ultimately it comes down to the cost-benefit analysis. With risperidone you need it for actual psychiatric illness. It's very damaging drug on your system. You're ignoring this completely. Do you even know the kind of side effects you can have on risperidone? Pyschotropic substances are different from regular affect your brain and you can't taper them easily. There's no double standard at all. A person who stutters doesn't need to take risperidone because the risk is just too high. Is it FDA approved? No. I'm encouraging OP to think more critically before taking XYZ pills. How long are you gonna be taking it for, what side effects can it cause? Can they be permanent? Is it possible to stop taking drugs and be fine? Is there evidence it even works? You, on the other hand appear to not want any legitimate criticism of taking drugs for stuttering.
