Word, I am 19 and for a brief period it felt as if my stuttering was getting worse and I felt absolutely helpless. However, I realized it was just my mindset, I was depressed, nervous, doing drugs (which was the main cause really) and had no confidence. All of these things combined really intensified my stuttering. I hope the above article is some help and if you can, even by faking it, be more confident and if you're really down in the dumps, fake confidence. I've heard it on reddit before and often blow it off because it sounds stupid, but something about walking around with your head high, disregarding everyone else, seems to help my speech if not only very subtlety and maybe only I notice, but that confidence transcends daily life and make little social encounters very insignificant. Now this is not always the case, but it's a place to start if you're really having trouble. Best of luck my man, I feel for you
