I will admit that it is not easy and it takes some time. I still find myself caring some of the time. But for me, I try to work on my confidence. I don't know about you but I stutter a lot less when I am in a comfortable situation (like with my family or friends) rather than in a new setting where I don't know anyone. I try to be comfortable in all situations, I look for ways to relate to people. And if I do stutter in these situations, I just flat out tell them, "I apologize, I stutter sometimes." When you tell people that, it makes sense to them and I don't care as much. Also, like I said before, most people aren't thinking 'wtf' when you stutter. Try asking your friends what they think about you when you stutter. Hope this helps! Edit: >it makes sense to them For some people, it's hard for them to understand. It helps to be educated on the subject and educate them on how prevalent it is in the world
