Yeah, when talking about my stutter to people, sometimes I'll have moments of fluency during it, and that's, like, incredible to them. I think the big thing with stuttering is that it's almost mythological in a way. You hear about people stuttering, how 1% of the population stutters, the King's Speech, etc, but rarely do you come across anyone that actually stutters (at least in my case anyway.) Probably because those that do shy away from speaking, whether it's using filler words or not speaking entirely.
