Wow! I was surprised to see this come up again! So he is very fluent now, "bumpy" speech is smoothed out and he has fairly typical breath control. He still has a youngish voice, and he doesn't always have the best diction. Rs and Ls are still not as clear, but overall he is easily understood and keeps up in conversations. Also also, he has several different friend groups. I can't remember if we had him diagnosed when I posted this initially, but we did learn that he is level 1 autistic, but most people don't know unless we tell them. It took time and patience, but we've gotten to a point where I would say what I talked about in the post isn't remotely close to where we are now.
