Joining a Toastmasters Club

Joining a Toastmasters Club I (24f) have had a stutter my whole life. If I just have a conversation with someone, my stutter is pretty mild. However, when it comes to doing a presentation or reading in front of a group, my stutter becomes severe. I know when I speak in front of others, I get scared of stuttering and other people noticing so that's probably why I stutter more. I had a job last year where I had to give presentations quite often. I stuttered but as time went on, I get less nervous. I have been working at my new job for the past 6 months and I had to do a very short presentation in December in front of roughly 40 people and I stuttered on basically every word. I was so scared to present and I am sick of my anxiety revolving public speaking. I think forcing myself to consistently present in front of others would be good for me. Does anyone with a stutter have any experience with joining a toastmasters (or other public speaking opportunities)? Any positive or negative experiences?
