I have a a daughter that stutters and I let her know that it’s okay to stutter and I just ignore it. I never say “slow down” or finish her sentences for her. I let her know that some people just stutter (i call it bumpy speech with her) just like how some people just do things better than others and how some people arnt as good at some things than others. I am trying to get her to not focus on it and just accept it. She is 6 and it seems to be getting better. She started when she was about 4 years old.
