Sometimes when I block in order just to not sit there with a dumb look in my face and have 3 or 4 seconds in between words I'll just use a word that makes absolutely no sense because it's not part of the conversation. The person will look at me with a concerned look on their face like I'm on drugs or something. Then it makes it awkward which makes me block and stutter more which makes them more embarrassed or anxious.
