Yes, I can and I'm a 77f. Its been and still is very challenging. My parents made my childhood a hell by not accepting me and demanding perfection in my weight, speech, and everything else. Despite this, I've had a successful 54-year marriage to a wonderful man and a happy family. Even with this success, the emotional damage and abuse still haunts me. The stigma, even with a relatively minor stutter, has changed the course of my life. I had no career though I graduated from the uni. I am grateful for what I do have but wonder what I might have achieved had I been fluent…. and I’m almost 80 years old!
