Interesting that it still works when it makes you light headed. Light-headedness comes from an increase in oxygen in your body but a decrease in carbon. Since carbon is necessary to get the oxygen to the muscles, the brain included, these types of breath work actually deprive you of oxygen, which leads to this sensation. Because stress levels are increased by oxygen deprivation, I find it interesting it still seems to work. Could you explain what costal breathing is exactly?
