I'm 39 and my stutter is still here. It has got better though. I really feel that working on it and being positive gets me quite far. It really helped when I started to accept my stutter. I hid it less, I stopped beating myself up and it led to me practicing more to improve my fluency. I have practiced my name thousands of times and I can sometimes say it. If I know I have to introduce myself then I am fine. If some is like "what's your name fella" out of the blue then I still struggle. It's weird. I am working on that. I have a finance, kids and a well paid job. I still have plenty of difficult days but it is what it is.
