College student and SLP undergraduate here that stutters. As many you've probably experienced, the classroom can definitely be one of the hardest environments for us. Recently, I had to introduce myself in a few of my classes and I was feeling quite anxious about it. I remember one TED talk where an Australian woman described her disfluency as "the most honest part of herself". Taking that into consideration, that quote really inspired me to stop hiding myself from people, to stop pretending like I was someone else. My stuttering really is the most honest part of me, and I regret not being more comfortable with just being myself. Anyways, that TED talk really gave me a new perspective. I'll link it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MegHiL93B0 Good luck to all of you out there!
