Just to be sure: I wasn't trying to put you down by using the term "visitor" - I merely looked for a neutral sounding word describing all the people who frequent this place. Oh, and I guess my use of "ignorant" could be construed as overly hostile too - apologies, I thought I was using it in a more neutral fashion up there (I'm not native English, so sometimes my phrasing is off). At any rate... My principal concern is just that we don't forget those among us who are struggling every bit as hard as the rest, and not able to change much about their condition. Stuttering is complex, and there's all sorts of things we can try, but there's no necessary connection between our efforts and our results (otherwise, everyone would stop stuttering after a while, simply by doing whatever). This might be construed as pessimism, but I call it realism. Of course, for optimists, realism might as well be pessimism. I just don't want anyone to feel left behind in a community such as this.
