Hi, I'm in the same situation. I'm an autistic person (diagnosed at 24, I'm 32 now) and I also developed a late-onset stutter after a burnout about three and a half years ago. It's quite severe now, even though I'm doing much better mentally. My family never really worried about it, since I've had tics, OCD, and periods of mutism since early childhood. I haven't been able to find the help I need. My doctor refused to prescribe an MRI (you need a referral from your family doctor here), and the waiting time to see a speech therapist is over 3 years where I live. I don't dare reach out to associations, because I'm very shy and I feel illegitimate since it's a late-onset stutter. So right now, I'm pretty isolated with this problem.
