My two cents would be that if insurance covers you, it can't hurt to go to a speech therapist, however I would not pay out of pocket to go see one. To piggy back off of the other comments, at this point seeing a speech therapist will not "cure" you, they will simply review and practice strategies with you to promote fluency. With that being said, much if not all of what the SLP will offer you can be found online, youtube videos, etc... For me personally as both an SLP and a lifelong stutterer I would not pay to go see an SLP. Unfortunately, many of the strategies tend to go out of the window for me when in the midst of a stutter. That is just my experience though, and like I mentioned if you can see one without paying it can't hurt to try a few sessions.
