We can’t keep borrowing trillions to pay for every master’s degree under the sun. If a field like speech therapy can’t pay its own grads enough without unlimited government loans, the answer isn’t to make taxpayers foot the bill forever—it’s to make colleges charge less and employers pay more. Cap the loans, kill the blank check, and let the market sort it out.
