This was the one of the worst fears I had when I had kids. Would my stutter be passed down? Would I want to pass down something that caused me so much misery when I was younger? I have two kids. One is 11 and seems to have a little bit of a pause when he talks and some blocks here and there. He’s in speech and he’s improving. My daughter is the opposite of me, outgoing and loud! Loves to be heard by all! I know it may hurt to see your child suffer BUT think of it this way. You’ve been there when you were young. You can relate way more than a parent who didn’t stutter.
