I think you didn't understood op's point of view. What he meant was not to fight stutter but embrace it. He didn't say not to do things like reading aloud, vocal lessons, lip trills, meditation etc which can improve your speech. My teacher once said "Whenever you meet someone new, the first thing you do is to tell them that you stutter". When I tried that I didn't stutter once. Also, you stutter more if you are around people who make fun of your stuttering or those who mind it.
