1) My stutter is overt. People watching me talk easily realise I am stuttering. 2) I would say my stutter's severity score varies depending upon the situation. When I am having routine, mundane conversations with my family or friends, I rarely stutter (severity score of 1). When I am talking to strangers or people whom I know only in a professional capacity, stuttering becomes noticeable (severity score of 4). When I am really excited or when I am on-stage, it gets worse (severity score of 8). 3) My previous point talks about how comfortable I am in various situations. I would also like to add that my stutter is periodic. That is, I have 'stuttering bouts'. There were times when I went without stuttering for a month. Then, some event would trigger my stuttering. Mostly, it would be one where I must go on stage. 4) To be honest, I have not made a meticulous observation of sounds which cause me stutter. Mostly, I stutter at the start of a word or a phrase. Once I get past the beginning, I would finish uttering it. As far as I know, the sound which causes me to stutter, is random. I have found myself stuttering on words or phrases that start both with vowels and consonants. 5) My feared situations are going on-stage and talking with strangers. 6) Yes, I wouldn't say I am scared when I'm on the phone, but I do stutter on the phone nonetheless. Sometimes, colossally. 7) I would also like to add that English is not my first language. And also, thank you so much for doing this.
