I've had similar experiences, I'm sure we all have on this thread. I had close friends of mine who would make fun of me for stuttering. My own family would make fun of me for stuttering. I've certainly spent countless times wondering why I was born with a stutter, too. It's really hard. I was super glad to found this subreddit too. I felt extremely isolated in my life due to the stutter. I don't know anyone else who stutters, so this was a great way to feel like I was less alone.
