I feel this! I'm a moderate stutterer but I've still have had other stutterers ask (with good intentions) if I've tried speech therapy, because my stutter is more noticeable than theirs. I have, it just hasn't been successful yet. I also had someone tell me they like that they're a stutterer because it makes them quirky.
