Yep, as soon as you're aware that people are looking at you, it's like you're looking at yourself through their eyes. Then, you realise you've been stuttering for the past 5 seconds and have no idea what you were trying to say. Thing is, public speaking is a big deal and the way I think about it is: "What would I do if I didn't have a stutter?" I like to think I'd be the best god damn public speaker on earth, and it's that confidence that gets me through it. Avoid avoiding words you hate and build your confidence by doing little things you usually wouldn't each day. I wish I was told that last paragraph as a kid, I'm 29 now and want to help other people through it.
