Man, I really feel you on this. Stuttering can be brutal, and it sucks how society still thinks it’s okay to make jokes about it. You’re not wrong that it can feel like one of the hardest social disabilities to carry. That said, I’d be careful with alcohol. I get why it feels like a quick fix, but alcoholism ends up being way worse than stuttering in the long run. It wrecks your health, your relationships, and honestly leaves you with even less control. There are tools out there that can help make stuttering a lot more manageable. They can take away a lot of the fear and humiliation. Don't give up. I know it’s hard, but you don’t have to go through it numbing yourself. There are healthier ways to cope, and you deserve that.
