Hey, my senior year is about to start as well, and I'll say, my speaking requirements are still fearful events for me unless I specifically enjoy it. For example I'll be taking a film class that does morning announcements, when I have to speak on that, I'll probably be okay even with the blocks I'll inevitably get. Though my first film class my teacher let me out of being on the announcements so long as I did more behind the camera and stuff, may try for that, may not to get out of my confort zone a little. For me, I've gotten very good at knowing when I'm going to stutter on different sounds and words so I'm sometimes able to avoid them and use a different phrase to get the same meaning across. As another caviot to this, my junior year I was fully duel enrolled, aka I only took college classes and didn't spend a day at my HS, so I'm a year out of touch with my class, many friends, and any new students. I'm dreading that bit with introductions and all. Actually I've got like no typical senior classes so most classmates I'll probably not have had before. With all that said: I'm still very excited for this final year of HS (despite all the stress it and college prep brings), I'm definitely an extrovert and I make friends easily despite the stutter and the obstacles and occasional looks it brings. I've been alright so far, so no problem for another year.
