I'm not bothered about what people may say but Next January I'm giving Risperidone or Olanzapine a shot to get rid of this terrible stuttering !!! Guys hope you all doing well. It's Kyle, from South Africa. As I posted before many times about the (Pausing technique) I'm using and my deep interest in Ecopipam, just this morning I asked few questions on Chatgbt like a case study about my personal stuttering symptoms. (Anxiety or no anxiety I still stutter bad, Have stuttered since childhood and through family genes, I noticed I stutter less when I focus on keeping my eyes open when talking , I manage to control well with techniques like dragging, whisper, pausing , singing etc , at home with parents I still stutter bad).... So Chatgbt said it's a neurological developmental stuttering problem...it's not tied full on anxiety or fear. Chatgbt says Ecopipam is the best choice because it helps with the speech motor and processing. It's way more promising than other D2 receptor blockers because it works with D1 which is mainly for neurological stuttering. It's working well with tourettes syndrome but not sure if next year or longer it might take and I'm going to feel restless waiting. So I reckon why not just try Risperidone or Olanzapine in January. I'll leave this month out since it's Christmas and I'm only going to start work January. I'm thinking of going to a public hospital because the meds should be free in the Neuro clinic but sometimes maybe it's better going private. Because you pay and get to have exactly what you want. As for the meds, I'm not bothered about its side effects like weight gain etc, I can change my lifestyle example ( dieting , cardio workouts , even using weight loss supps recommended by the neurologist etc) just to combat the side effects. It's worth the try. How's the progress guys ? Have any of you tried Risperidone or Olanzapine ? Ecopipam is probably the most promising for neurological stuttering but what if it doesn't come through next year or even longer ? Should we wait ? I know as we all stutterers here , alot of us have so so so much potential in life but this issue stops us. Please let me know about your thoughts.
