Is it true that you cant stutter while singing?

Is it true that you cant stutter while singing? I heard the podcast "Ted Radio Hour" a while ago and they hade a singer. Cant remeber her name though. And they said something along the line of "You cant stutter while singing". So is this true? When people who stutter sing they dont stutter anymore?
