In addition to the NSA and StutterTalk mentioned, [Stutter Social](http://stuttersocial.com/) is a great way to hangout with others, particularly if there isn't a strong community in your geographic area. I would say the hardest thing about meeting others who stutter is that many people try to *hide* their stuttering, and don't want to discuss it openly. That's were something like the NSA is so helpful, because it's a group of people who are willing to be "out" about their speech, or at least out to each other. Additionally, if there isn't an NSA chapter in your area, you could see if there are any speech therapists who specialize in stuttering (i.e. know at least a handful of people who stutter), and ask the SLP to find out if any of them would be open to starting a local community. Note that the SLP cannot give out names due to HIPAA, but they could give YOUR name to their clients.
