Hey man, I feel you right now, I really do. Ive read up on a lot of research, talked with a lot of people and dont a lot of self exploration. After all of my "progress" I feel like my stutter hasnt improved at all either. That's not great, but the real challenge is improving my real attitude about my stutter. Consciously, ive always stuttered openly (didnt have much choice lol) and fully accepted it and never made a deal of it. What i've only realized it is though I may have accepted it, i wasn't ok with it. I wasnt comfortable with it and thus it still had influence over me. What ive been working on lately is getting pasted that stuff. Everytime I feel a pressure on my speech or an inability to slow down my words or just difficulty regulating my air flow, those are the kind of control pressures I try to work on. I dont know if you've been working on your speech over the past 10 years, but I attend a National Stuttering Association local support chapter. We've got some people in there who have learned to be comfortable and thus greatly improve their speech at 45, 55, even 60 years old! There's no such thing as too late or having tried everything. Anyway, I feel like im giving advice or a pep talk that you hadn't even asked for so im just going to share this. If you havent heard, the National Stuttering Association (NSA) has a big conference every year. This year its in Washington DC in early July. If you've never been, I highly recommend going if you have the means. Save your vacation days, save some money. I dont like to use hyperbole or exaggerate but it really is an amazing experience. Last time I went we had over 800 people, all of whom either are either stutter, have family members/friends who stutter or are SLPs. Again, I would strongly recommend it. It's a great place to learn more about your speech, try new things in a safe environment and just meet and share with people who are going through the same things are you. Similarly, you can search for an NSA chapter near you to start things off. We face a big challenge in stutter, but we dont have to face it all alone. http://www.westutter.org/find-an-nsa-meeting-near-you/
