"Stutter isn't caused by anxiety" for me, this is bullshit. Of course, stuttering *does* cause anxiety, but is also caused by it. The thing is, stuttering has two roots: emotional and physiological. It's both a matter of being relaxed and a matter of getting the muscles on your throat relaxed and ready for work. That's why exercises are useful, and I so found that seeing a psychologist was also useful. I am nearly healed, after 3 very bad years, and both these things have helped me. I strongly recommend seeing a speech therapist, and maybe even a psychologist as well - it will depend on what your speech therapist says. You should tackle this while it's not happening all the time, it's great that you are seeking help. Do try to get professional help, though. The internet can't be more useful than people who studied years to be able to help you.
