Stuttering and Dating

Stuttering and Dating Stuttering and Dating are one of the hardest things I have dealt with. I am now 31 years old and have yet to find a longterm girlfriend. I have gone out and dated pretty girls in the past but they never really developed into a meaningful relationship primarily because of my speech impediment, even though they would never admit it. For them, they know they could do better and I guess I should even be happy that those events even happened. I would classify myself as a moderate stutterer where my speech is worse when im excited, nervous, stressful, etc. I also tend to avoid words that begin with an "S" or words that contain long syllables. It's frustrating to think that it affected the first career path that I chose (accountant) and makes me wonder if I'd ever find happiness in my life. How do you guys date in this world with this monkey on your back?
