not sure if this will help, but i think mine gets worse and then better. i don’t usually mention it unless it’s to a nice lady at a bar (mostly so she doesn’t think i’m hammered) but a therapist did advise me to mention it in some situations because it might get rid of that dreaded first couple sentences with someone new when you’re trying to figure out if they’ve figured out you have a stutter or not, thus making you a little less nervous, thus maybe leading to more fluent speech. it’s really wild how everyone’s situation and experience with a stutter really is different. hope my rambling helped in the slightest!
