This has never been an issue for me. Probably because I can express myself fully (small stutters) with my partner and close friends. I’m 29 yo, male, stuttering since I can remember. Mostly fluent with family, now pretty good with strangers and group situations (mostly because I’ve been pushing myself to speak and just don’t care about making a bad impression) To be honest I see no problem with having a partner. All the partners I’ve been with have never had an issue with it - everything else was just more important - personality, looks, shared values. It depends on who you want to be with as well - my friends are all patient with me when I want to say something. I imagine other people would not be so patient - but they are just not my friends. Can you speak okay enough to express yourself to your closest people, e.g. family (even using less words)? If so I think the stutter will not be the deal breaker for a relationship.
