Definitely. Dont remember anyone laughing at me and pointing fingers tough, maybe it happened in childhood but those memories are gone now :) I think laughing it off can be healthy for our self-image as it shows awareness and acceptance. I was on an interview few weeks ago where I started off with a story on how I applied to a similar job two years ago and didn't even got passed the phone screening due to stuttering lots and it genuinely made me giggle. They replied with 'Wow that must have sucked" but with a compasionate smile and not a sorry for you look. I told them that I'm working on it and look forward to being more exposed to talking , and then we moved on. Got called for a second interview!
