I’ve never taken Valium, but my sense is that it is very strong and not to be taken often. I have two friends who were prescribed Valium for fear of flying. Both said they were basically unable to function for hours, good for a long flight but bad for day to day functioning. I also think doctors are reluctant to prescribe due to the potential for abuse
