I've been on several types of anti-anxiety meds for the past 10 years or so. The one I am taking now, Effexor, does help with my anxiety, but not specifically my social anxiety. So, I haven't noticed any improvement with stuttering, with this med or any of the past meds. It depends on the person, but from what I've read, it seems there aren't any meds that specifically help someone with a stutter. It all just depends on how your body reacts to an anti-anxiety medication and how your stutter manifests itself. It's worth a try in my opinion! I have heard people say CBD oil has helped their stuttering - I haven't had success myself, but that's something you could consider.
