I have son who is a student who has a very bad stutter. He is the most handsome, kind, loving boy! He is not in this world to make others happy and get their approval. You and him are perfect and you need to start advocating for yourself. Be ok with the fact that you different but that does not define the whole you. My son also wants to be a surgeon and he is an exemplary student. You need to only focus on yourself and your gpa at this point. I started a thread “stutter and med school” Please check it out. I have heard kids make fun of my son’s stutter and I tell him to ignore and keep working on yourself and your academics. Get a SLP that focuses on advocacy. That made a huge difference for my son and gave him the confidence he needed.  I will be more then happy to share information of premed groups that I am a part of and plenty of stories there to read about kids who had some sort of disability and still made it to med school.
