Thank you for taking the time to write that. I actually have joined a group that meets weekly to practice for about a month now. Its been good, it helped me do a presentation at school. I'm actually great in presentations because I get to a super confident place before I do it and that seems to the trick. Meeting with other people who stutter has been so-so. Everyone has their own theory and have tried different therapies and many lack the confidence or are ambitious enough to want to overcome it. I personally am not a fan of therapy because its very one dimensional and places way to much emphasis on the mechanics of speech--i think ultimately no one in this world will help you as much as you can help yourself. Anyway I'm going to start checking in with myself on a daily basis with this template i created to see where my mood is at, how confident i feel, am i shooting down negative thoughts, am i making eye contact, etc. I'm going to do tongue twisters and just talk as MUCH as possible with whoever will listen as well. Good luck man. We'll be ok.
