I have no idea. I was fluent up until I reached my teens. That's when stuttering came up suddenly. It has also gotten a lot worse since then. Nothing genetic for me because no one in my family that I know stutters. I'm still optimistic that I'll revert to my fluent state once again. It's just difficult being this way.
