Variance is part of regular stutter, so I don't think you need to picture yourself as a "cause" of it. Maybe it's the language barrier, but I just want to ensure that you're not blaming yourself here. :) Have you ever been able to say 'non' without stuttering? Like, ever? It's common for problematic words to be "defused" once they've been spoken once, where you're able to say them just after.
