Thank you for answering me. >I feel like when I am more confident and positive about myself, everything else might become easier as well. Yes, this true I believe. I absolutely do not see you as a "failure," however. It is so common with stuttering treatments that they work for a while and then stop that I feel it is more reasonable to call the treatment a failure than the person who cannot make it work for them long term. I know you will say "but I stopped doing the exercises, the practice." Well, yes. But why? Because you are lazy, or too self-critical or something else negative? I don't believe that. The reasons for stopping doing the practice may not be immediately obvious, but I would not assume it's your fault. It may be in the nature of the whole thing. What do I mean by that? Yeah, well, that would be a much longer post if I speculated about all that. All I want to be sure to say, even if you don't believe it right now, is that I do not at all believe it is your fault that that technique in the end did not work for you. I think if you can find a therapist you like and trust, it will be a good thing. I wish you all the best...I really do.
