In my last job interview, I knew I had what they wanted, and I had been rejected already by one department due to my stutter. The guy even told the hiring department he thinks my speech will be a safety hazard. I even told the guy my speech is worse when I'm nervous it will be fine once I'm comfortable here. He was coincidentally let go a few weeks later after my interview. I'm thinking partly because I mentioned it's against the law to not hire a person specifically due to a disability. They set me up with an interview with a different department supervisor really fast. I flat out told the guy right from the start. Will my speech be a problem? If so, we may as well end this now. He seemed shocked but impressed by this. He remained patient and told me my resume looked great, blah blah blah, and when can I start. This is my opinion on interviews. Don't take it as gospel. What I did was a pretty risky way to handle an interview. Really, it comes down to your confidence. If you know you are what they are looking for. You need to thread the line of respect and disrespect. Have the confidence to make it seem like they are wasting your time if they don't hire you. The attitude that any other company would love to have you. But remember, this will only work if you do actually have everything else they are looking for.
