Hi there, life long stutterer here in my 40s now. Never really went to speech therapy except for the useless public school sessions. I never concentrated on making my speech fluent. My stuttering isn’t severe. My speech got better for me over the years as I gained confidence and accepted myself. As the head of the household, i have to do most of the talking for the family like ordering food, etc. Also I need to talk at work (meetings and presentations) because I am in a lead role. For me, things got better as i settled down in life in my 30s. Figure out a way to practice talking and reducing your anxiety about talking. Come to terms with your stuttering disability, accept it. Don’t let stuttering hold you back, you can live a full and happy life.
