I’m glad you’ve received great advice from the other comments. In addition to getting an early assessment I will still highly recommend creating an encouraging and loving environment. As you mentioned the reactions of others is a strong influential factor. However, the reality is that kids are mean whether or not you have a stutter. Chances are your daughter will eventually come across mean kids. Providing her with that education and care at home can be a protective factor for when other kids try to pick on her. As others have mentioned, she has many positives going for her so an early assessment, professional help where needed, and being mindful of your reactions towards her will be my way forward. The key is making sure she doesn’t develop negative reactions towards it.
